Before joining 足球游戏_中国足彩网￥体育资讯’s adjunct faculty in 2012, Washington held key leadership positions in Maryland-based non-profit organizations, foundations, and local government agencies in the Greater Baltimore region.  Much of this work has been at the intersection of community organizing, environmental education, housing, and the restoration of urban ecosystems. 

Mary Washington has a deep curiosity about the human condition, a drive to learn and share knowledge, and a commitment to finding solutions to the everyday challenges that individuals and institutions face in sustaining and improving the quality of life and social and economic conditions. 

Toward that end, she has served for nearly 16 years as a state representative and policymaker in the Maryland General Assembly.  First as a member of the House of Delegates, and as a Maryland State Senator since 2019.

Using a learner-centered approach, students engage in critical thinking and real-world problem-solving. These courses foster informed decision-making, innovation, and interdisciplinary competencies in students who seek to examine assumptions, create solutions, or gain a deeper understanding of complex social and environmental issues.
