Fontánez Rodríguez Named 2018-19 National Digital Stewardship Residency (NDSR) Art Resident at Decker Library

BALTIMORE — The Maryland Institute College of Art’s (足球游戏_中国足彩网¥体育资讯) Decker Library will welcome Cristina Fontánez Rodríguez as its 2018-19 National Digital Stewardship Residency (NDSR) Art resident. Fontánez Rodríguez will begin her year-long digital stewardship residency with Decker Library’s Digital Initiatives Unit on July 16.

As part of her residency, Fontánez Rodríguez will develop a new model for the collection, long-term preservation and access of complex digital objects as part of art and design theses work that can be implemented at 足球游戏_中国足彩网¥体育资讯 and replicated elsewhere.

“The tremendous strength and diversity of work completed by graduate students is a significant contribution to the field of art and design,” said Library Director Heather Slania. “Decker Library is committed to developing a framework to support true engagement with this material. The vital work of art and design programs deserve to be front and center.”
