Anthony Rutka is the creative director at Rutka Weadock. He has a BFA in graphic design from the Maryland Institute College of Art and an MFA in communication design from Syracuse University, where he also taught drawing and design in the School of Fine Arts and the School of Architecture.
Currently, he teaches graphic design at the Maryland Institute College of Art.
Tony began his career at Esquire magazine, and worked for a major advertising agency and a specialized communications consulting firm before creating RW. His work has received just about every award imaginable and he has served as a judge for such prestigious national competitions as the Communication Arts Design Annual, Print Magazine, Mead Annual Report Show, and several other local and regional competitions. He was the first elected president of the Baltimore Chapter of AIGA.
