Amy Peterson (fiction, non-fiction)

Amy Peterson has been teaching in the Master of Arts in Art Education (MAAE) program since 2010.

From 2006 until 2013, she also taught in 足球游戏_中国足彩网¥体育资讯’s Humanistic Studies department. During her tenure as a mentor in the MAAE program, many of her students have had their writing successfully published in peer-reviewed art education journals.

Amy holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York and a BA in Philosophy from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Her writing has appeared in a myriad of publications, including Modern Painters, Poets & Writers, MoMA Ps1 Young Architects Program publications, The Brooklyn Review,  and The Center for Digital Storytelling, among others. She has received writing fellowships from the Sacatar Foundation in Bahia, Brazil; Fundacion Valparaiso in Almeria, Spain; The Julia and David White Artists Colony in Ciudad Colon, Costa Rica; and the Ucross Foundation in Ucross, Wyoming.

 In addition to teaching and writing, Amy develops and edits language arts curriculum. She currently lives in New York.
